Vehicles in German City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report
Local Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.
Police state they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.
The fluid had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.
Officers then located multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Police report early analysis suggest the substance was probably human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no lead as to its source; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the incident," they stated.
City officials said they were trying "to unravel the case" and have asked to the public for information.
An important representative said the incident made him stunned and had to be addressed quickly.
"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he wrote on online, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
