I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
